KWIKSPACE, Africa’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated, modular buildings, recently delivered and installed a re-built classroom unit for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
The 13.96 x 9.30m classroom unit, which was damaged during student protests, can accommodate approximately 50 students. The standard modular prefabricated classroom unit comes fitted with a veranda, safety gate, whiteboards, pinboards, and floor covering, as well as internal electrical supply.
The units are locally manufactured using polyurethane, which provides strength and durability, with a life expectancy of up to 20 years if properly maintained. It has excellent thermal insulation properties and does not delaminate over time.
“The university of technology typically purchases or hires classrooms and accommodation units when student numbers increase. Our mobile units are an ideal option as they
are factory manufactured to high-quality standards.
“We have fifty years of experience and offer quality products with a short lead time,” said Tony Collison, Account Manager for Kwikspace.
