Crane company extends footprint into KZN

RECOGNISED as Africa’s leading overhead crane service provider and the largest manufacturer on the continent, RGM Cranes continues to push boundaries for its customers.

“With many of our customers having branches in KwaZulu-Natal it is a natural progression to extend our footprint into the area to service them”, says Alex Dowling, managing director at RGM Cranes.

“Our new branch in KwaZulu-Natal is situated in the Dube Tradeport at King Shaka Airport”, confirms branch manager Jarrid Nicholson. “We are excited about this opportunity and the excellent foundation it lays for RGM Cranes KZN. Our clients will have access to the full benefit of our extensive product range and prolific experience within the RGM Cranes stable.”

With a solid group of Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) recognised technicians, together with 40 tons of calibrated load weights at their immediate disposal, RGM Cranes KZN already has the infrastructure and tools to provide local industry with the necessary service and legally required load testing as well as service inspections to keep their equipment compliant.

“RGM Cranes also hopes to increase its market share through exploring previously untapped industries that are prominent within the region including the paper, forestry and marine industries. We have considerable expertise in managing the materials handling needs for the motor and steel industries which are also a significant role player in the KZN economy”, affirms Dowling.
