SOUTH Africa’s largest food company, Tiger Brands, is consolidating its operations in the region with a plan to merge three sites into one high-tech snacks and treats factory in Jacobs, according to an online post by eThekwini Municipality.
According to the City, Tiger Brands has reiterated its commitment to eThekwini and KwaZulu-Natal. It says that by investing in advanced technologies, the company plans to boost efficiency and keep its favourite sweet and snack brands affordable and accessible.
During a tour of the facility, which is undergoing refurbishment, eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, welcomed this development, emphasising that it is a clear indication that business has faith in the city’s efforts to grow the economy.
